UNIVERSITY LIFE

The lectures

Lectures are held in two sites: the Portello area where several scientific Departments are situated, and at the Department of Astronomy in via Osservatorio n.3, near the Specola.
For details see the lectures timetable, available every year around mid September.

Study rooms and libraries

Every Department has rooms where students can study or use between lectures. A list can be found at http://www.unipd.it/cittauniversitaria/aule.htm.

Students are also entitled access to the 54 libraries in all the Padova area for loans and other services.

ESU provides a library of some 3600 titles at the Biblioteca Circolante di via G. Tiepolo,52 and Servizio DSU Studentidi via San Francesco, 122.

Catering

University canteens are listed at the ESU site. Access is possible with the magnetic badge received at application. Meal costs vary depending on the ICE form presented and economic conditions defined at application.

Sports and leisure time

The University of Padova provides two main sports facilities managed by CUS which offer a varied choice of activities: the first, in via Giordano Bruno, with several gyms and tennis courts. The second, called palestra del "Piovego", is near the Piovego canal and offers the best opportunities for sports in town.
