The Astrophysical Observatory is located in Asiago, a famous tourist resort in the Sette Comuni plateau, at an altitude of 1000 m, in the Veneto Region.
The site of the observatory is on a hill about 2 km from the town centre.
From the Asiago town centre follow the signs to the hospital and Bassano del Grappa. At the town limits, just after the gasoline service station, turn left and then immediately right into an uphill road. This leads to the Observatory gates.
On the motorway Milano – Venezia (Serenissima) just before Vicenza (coming from Padova) or after Vicenza (coming from Verona), take the Valdastico (A31) motorway, following it to its end (exit: Piovene Rocchette). Take the SS 349 to Asiago (Km. 24).
From Vicenza: SS 349 to Thiene – Asiago (Km 55)
From Bassano del Grappa (Strada della fratellanza) to Conco – Asiago (Km. 35)
From Trento to Lavarone – Asiago (Km 64)
Asiago is not reachable by train.
Nearest railway stations: Vicenza , Bassano del Grappa, Thiene, Padova, from where several buses go every day to Asiago.
