PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVES OF THE 122cm TELESCOPE
The Asiago Astrophysical Observatory has been active since 1942 and its archives contain about 78000 photographic plates, almost all in good state, obtained up to 1997.
These plates are preserved in a thermally conditioned room at the Asiago Observatory, together with the plates obtained with the 64/92cm Schmidt and 182cm Copernico telescopes of the Astronomical Observatory of Padova.
A project to digitize the photographic material, headed by Cesare Barbieri, was started in 2001. All the details and the on-line query of the observation logbooks and the digitized plates can be found in the web pages of the Asiago Science Archive Database.
