Quantum Physics has changed our way of understanding and representing the fundamental principles of Nature. We started to investigate the detection and utilization in the astronomical field of some of those properties of light that go under the designation of 'quantum properties'.

We have shown that modern technology gives solid hopes to extract from the light and make practical use of contents up to now denied to Astronomy, thus providing new instruments able to open a truly novel window of information.
